PHP Notices – Getting started

The profiles is ment to be the place where you create all the ways you can receive notices.

For me, I got five ways of getting notices

  • Email
  • Push message through Notifo
  • Push message through Prowl
  • Message to Growl through
  • Email to a Twitter service

To create a profile you simple click “Create new” and then fill the info in.

You decide how much you want each profile to actually do, it will only use the options you put into it.

Here I have created a profile for Notifo, where I will get a push message on my iPhone 4 through Notifo.

After adding all the profiles you want, you navigate to “Modules”, and inside there you have a few options.

In this example I will show you how I created a “Web Notifications” event for my nas. So start by clicking on “Web Notifications”

In here you can see all the events there are created for Web Notifications, to create a new you here also press the “Create new”.

Instead of creating a new, I am going to show you what I got inside the event for my nas.

Notice how I selected the profiles I created earlier to determine how I want to get alerted when that particular event it triggered.

In my nas I am using this url to trigger the event.

http://url/[email protected]@[email protected]@[email protected]@[email protected]@

And a test notice will then look like this.

Thats it. You should now be able to send a push message through my system by simply opening a url.

Stay tuned for a guide to create more advanced messages, and explanation on how the additional options work.

  1. Would be nice, if my Qnap could send me a push message, when snailmail has arrived.
Problem is getting the TTL state into the qnap. Do you have a solution on that?
